The way to Get the Dirt Out of Beadboard Cabinets

Beadboard cupboards add a tidy, casual appearance to your space — if they’re clean. Dust, debris and dirt stick between grooves in the boards and builds up in the event the cupboards are not dusted on a regular basis. Clean the cabinets by wiping and scrubbing them down with a homemade cleaner to receive them looking their best once again.

Vacuum-Brushed Beadboard

Eliminate as much dust as you can using dry methods before proceeding to moisture-based cleaning, since the liquid may spread the dirt. Wipe down the cupboards with a soft rag to remove some dust. Use a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery brush attachment along with a vacuum cleaner in one hand and a toothbrush at another to reach into the cracks and crevices to get rid of stubborn dirt and cobwebs.

Liquid-Based Cleaning

Wipe down the beadboard with a mix of one part vinegar to two parts water, or even equal parts vinegar and water if they’re incredibly dirty. Dip a soft cloth or sponge to the solution and wring it out so it is damp but not dripping wet. Wipe the cupboards with the solution, and repeat the process if they still seem dirty. Test an inconspicuous area first to be sure the paint or finish is not affected by the liquid.
