Removing Blade Shaft Assembly In a Husqvarna Shrub Removal Tractor

Lift the blade mandrel pulley guard out of the top of the deck to get the mowing deck drive belt. Eliminate the mowing deck drive belt from round the blade mandrel pulley.

Wrap a strap wrench round the blade mandrel pulley to hold the pulley in place while removing the blade mandrel pulley retaining bolt. Hold the strap wrench with one hand while unscrewing the blade mandrel pulley retaining nut with a socket wrench. Pull the blade mandrel pulley and flat washer in the blade mandrel pulley shaft to get the blade mandrel maintaining bolts.

Establish the mowing deck on its side to get the blade mandrel assembly mounting bolt heads in addition to the mowing deck along with the sword mandrel assembly retaining nuts on the bottom of the mowing deck. Put a box-end wrench on the blade mandrel assembly mounting bolt heads on the top mowing deck to protect against the mounting bolt from turning when loosening the sword mandrel maintaining nuts.

Hold the box-end wrench with one hand on the top of the mowing deck while unscrewing the blade mandrel assembly retaining nuts with a socket wrench. Put the mowing deck with the mowing deck sword mandrel assembly facing upward; pull on the blade mandrel mounting straps in the top blade mandrel. Lift the blade mandrel assembly in the top of the mowing deck.
